Omar Khan joined Momentum Engineering Corporation in 2018. Since joining the company, he has worked as a reconstructionist to re-create vehicle crashes through 3D laser scanning, precise documentation, and collision simulation, while also participating in company-sponsored vehicle research and analysis.
His experience includes collision reconstruction research on a project involving staged vehicle rollovers at high speed. He also has experience with engineering data analysis for Motor Trend Magazine, where he helped create consumer metrics to rate vehicles through advanced engineering analysis. Mr. Khan has a strong background in engineering analysis with computer programs including MATLAB and Python.
Mr. Khan graduated from the University of California Irvine in 2016. While at UCI he worked on the Formula SAE Electric race car team. As the Electrical Safety Systems team lead, he gained experience in low and high voltage safety and shutoff systems in electric vehicles, along with knowledge of motor and battery tech.
